November Luncheon

The Illinois Section of ITE is excited to host a luncheon featuring Kyle Armstrong from the Illinois Department of Transportation who will be discussing highlights from the 11th Edition of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). He will also be discussing the recently issued final rule on maintaining pavement marking retroreflectivity which has officially been incorporated into the current 2009 Edition of the MUTCD.

This luncheon will be held at Cooper's Hawk in Naperville on Thursday, November 10th from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Lunch will be preceded by an opportunity to network and catch up with colleagues in our industry. We look forward to seeing you there! Register Here

Kyle Armstrong is a graduate of the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. He has worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation for 23 years both for the District 6 office in Springfield and for the Central Bureau of Operations. He is currently the Engineer of Traffic Operations where his duties include developing policies, procedures, and programs for the installation and maintenance of traffic control devices and intelligent transportation systems. He helped lead the statewide effort to review and develop comments for the proposed 11th Edition of the MUTCD and is a member of the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer through ITE.
