The Illinois Section of ITE is holding a webinar event for the benefit of ITE members and guests. The event will be shown at the Naperville Municipal Center and 1.5 PDHs will be available to attendees after the webinar.
Webinar attendees will receive an overview of terms related to speed limit setting, including design speed and operating speed. Participants will also learn about approaches recognized for setting speed limits including engineering, expert, and safe systems approaches.
The webinar will include resources and tools available for setting safe speeds and examples of successful speed limit setting programs and policies. The impacts and importance of speed limit setting policies will be highlighted.
Webinar contributors include the recently elected ITE International Vice President, Randy McCourt, as well as representatives from the FHWA and NACTO.
