On July 21, IL-ITE teamed up with the WTS-Greater Chicago Chapter for the first Malty Modal Tour! The tour was a bike ride around the Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago to highlight current, new, and upcoming bike infrastructure developments in the area, all ending at a local watering hole for cold beverages afterward. The tour was led by CDOT Complete Streets Engineer Kurt Facknitz, and had an excellent turnout. Whether it was the great weather, the desire for info on bike infrastructure, or the chance to network with industry folks, the event had 50+ participants. Whatever the reason, it went great and IL-ITE will definitely be hosting another Malty Modal Tour soon! Big thanks to the Welcome Back Lounge for being so hospitable to our large group.
