To increase public awareness
of the role of the transportation professional in society
and to encourage the exchange of ideas through inter-professional
activities.
Responsibilities:
To coordinate Illinois Section involvement in Engineer's
Week (early February) with the Illinois Engineering
Council, including:
- The preparation of exhibits.
- Consideration of a joint-society luncheon.
To inform the Board of Directors of professional
transportation activities and programs offered by
others.
To create and distribute news releases as directed
by the board.
Maintain a Speakers Bureau that offers the transportation
professional the opportunity to speak on transportation
subjects to the general public.
