ITE is hosting a webinar as an event for the benefit of ITE members and guests. The event will be shown at Christopher B. Burke Engineering in Rosemont and 1 PDH will be available to attendees after the webinar event. 

The webinar will be presented by Peter Koonce, P.E. a transportation professional with nearly 20 years of experience.  Peter has served as the Manager for the City of Portland Bureau of Transportation's Signals, Street Lighting, & ITS Division and has worked in private practice with Kittelson & Associates, Inc.

Primary discussion topics include:

  • Overview of traffic signal timing concepts
  • Emerging technology and how it can be incorporated into engineering design
  • Innovative signal timing treatments and measurements
  • Examples where unique signal timing strategies have been applied, measured, and managed

Attendees will benefit from the webinar by discovering the latest advances in signal timing and technology,learning about current state of the practice, gaining an understanding of the engineering approach behind traffic signal timing and design, and developing an awareness of emerging technologies and how it ischanging transportation design today and in the future.
